Quincee Lark is an emerging artist living and working in Bend, OR. Her work is focused on the exploration and healing of the mind-body system via somatic attunement. Focusing around sketching, movement, and painting practices, her interest predominantly lies in becoming a channel for translating sensations, relational dynamics, visions and energetic experiences into visual art.

Her current undertaking, Art That Opens, situates the artist as a channel to the ephemeral unconscious through large format oil paintings. Based on the theories of Jung, it is suggested that humanities symbols, stories and archetypes emerge behind the eyes, from a mysterious, formless and shared space–the infinitely dense darkness– the collective unconscious. The artist, in this way, serves as a medium between the seen and unseen world, with colors, shapes and symbols serving as openings or portals to this shared unconscious realm. In providing a channel, Quincee’s paintings strive to facilitate emergence of the emotions and sensations of the mindbody into the physical, to become a fluid medium between inside and out.

Movement in the form of yoga, contact improvisation, ballet and modern techniques has lent itself to choreographic endeavors which can be found here.

Aside from art and dance, she occasionally explores experimental electronic music production, which can be found here.
